Our Family Story
Three Generations. One Family. A Legacy of Service.
Since January 27, 1967, Lumley Services Corp has proudly served Panama City and Bay County. Founded by Huey V. Lumley, a World War II veteran and Purple Heart recipient, alongside his son John Lumley, a U.S. Navy veteran who served as an Operations Specialist (OS), our company has been built on honesty, hard work, and a commitment to treating neighbors right. Today, Forrest Lumley proudly carries that tradition forward as the third-generation owner.
Our family's first two generations. Huey served in World War II and received the Purple Heart. His son John served in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist.
A father and son, and a trade passed down through generations. Forrest now leads Lumley Services Corp, continuing the family legacy.
John and Forrest Lumley are Panama City natives, born and raised in Bay County. Our roots run deep here. This is more than the place we do business—it is our hometown, our community, and the city we love. We are proud to serve our neighbors with honest work, dependable service, and the same family values that started it all.

Why filter your water?
What Could Be in Your Tap Water?
Municipal water is disinfected to help keep it safe as it travels to your home. Depending on the water supply, some homeowners notice a chlorine-like taste or odor. Certain water supplies may also contain disinfection by-products or other substances that require targeted treatment.
- Chlorine taste and odor: Carbon filtration can help reduce these common complaints.
- Chloramines: Specialized catalytic carbon is designed to reduce chloramines more effectively than standard carbon media.
- Some organic compounds: Certain carbon systems can reduce specified VOCs and disinfection by-products, depending on testing and product performance.
- Whole-home convenience: Treat water at the point it enters your home, supplying filtered water to multiple fixtures.
Not every filter removes every contaminant. Carbon filters do not generally remove fluoride, dissolved salts or all microorganisms. We'll discuss water testing and the right equipment for your needs.
